[~daijy], end user does not lose any feature and new behavior makes more sense,
i.e., {{SHOW TABLES}} for tables, {{SHOW VIEWS}} for views, {{SHOW MATERIALIZED
VIEWS}} for materialized views. Hence, change to stop showing views in {{SHOW
TABLES}} statement included in HIVE-19408 is intentional (before implementing
it, I had discussions with [~hagleitn] and [~ashutoshc]).
If you are concerned about backwards compatibility, I can revert change from
3.2 and leave it in major release 4.0, but I still think this should be the
behavior moving forward.
