This patch enables dynamic sort partition optimization, and current cost based
algorithm and the default value of
hive.optimize.sort.dynamic.partition.threshold=0 will make this test use this
optimization (the query plan will be different). If you set
hive.optimize.sort.dynamic.partition.threshold=-1, the query plan will be the
same as before.
With the optimizer, there is no group by step, so there is no compute stats
part.
