    Description: [HIVE-20992|https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HIVE-20992] 
has gone through the process of deprecating the property 
_metastore.dbaccess.ssl.properties (hive.metastore.dbaccess.ssl.properties)_ in 
favor of newer and more user-friendly properties since this option was opaque 
and posed a few issues. However, the functionality was still kept for backwards 
compatibility purposes. We should completely remove this property once 
backwards compatibility is not an issue.  (was:
