That would be the best,
[HIVE-21000](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HIVE-21000) is the ticket
for upgrading to the latest thrift version, but we're kind of blocked there
without a new accumulo release (the latest release is still using 0.9.3-1)
0.9.3-1 covers at least CVE-2018-1320 (see
[THRIFT-4506](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/THRIFT-4506))
