Description: In certain 3rd party UIs, they issue a describe table command,
and usually it's either "describe formatted table" or "describe extended
table", and it will take a very long time. There is no way to change the Hive

either "describe formatted table" or "describe extended table", and it will
take a very long time. When there is a highly partitioned table (10k+)
partitions, the previous behavior for Hive 1.2 was that it never collected the
statistics so describe formatted/extended was fast in the UI. Users will have
no way of retaining the old experience where their UI was fast and responsive.)
