@zabetak @abstractdog @cnauroth FYI I have raised a new PR :
https://github.com/apache/hive/pull/4065 for HIVE-17040. Appears HIVE-17040 is
a clean backport as far as .java files are concerned. There were some conflicts
in the test. Can we agree that we can merge it(will fix the new test failures
if any) and then merge this PR with a clean backport of HIVE-20718?
