Ι see that the patch has been approved but it was never merged to master. I 
guess it is a bit stale by now. 

Is anyone interested in pushing this further? If yes then please raise a 
pull-request over master and I will review it ASAP. If no further activity 
occurs in the following days I will assign it to me.
