Shohei Okumiya commented on HIVE-28658:

Question. Does this make Hive, as a query engine, communicate with a catalog
implementing Iceberg REST API, e.g., Apache Polaris?
I'm now discussing how to let Hive communicate with a third-party catalog, such
as Glue Data Catalog, to get HIVE-12679 done. I'd appreciate it if you could
involve me in some design discussions.
