This is causing the timeouts seen in last few runs with TestJdbcWithMiniHS2.
This seems to be one of the reasons for last few tests runs taking longer.
I verified that reverting the patch gets the test working. The test results
also complain about not being able to run TestJdbcWithMiniHS2.
