Did more debug and found some hanging cases are related to spark not being able
to handle failed tasks properly. Created SPARK-14958 for it. [~vanzin] it'd be
great if you could help look into it. Thanks.
At the same time, I'll see if there's anything we can do on hive side to work
around it.
