I am not removing shims, just removing few methods from shim interface. These
shims method have served there purpose, since we have dropped support for
hadoop-1. There only contribution is function call overhead to increase
latency. When we add support for next version of Hadoop, we may need to add new
methods in shim layer, but these existing methods won't be required.
