Seems to me that this case, while similar, is different enough to warrant its
own jira. My suggestion: a follow-up to HIVE-14519 that fixes what is still
broken, and creates tests for that. Agree? I can create that jira if you like,
but I don't foresee myself being able to work on it anytime soon.
