please note that as part of the fix for
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HIVE-16935
I moved the method removeComments() from
beeline/src/java/org/apache/hive/beeline/Commands.java to
common/src/java/org/apache/hive/common/util/HiveStringUtils.java and also
changed it.
I think this means you will have to redo your change, sorry.
