Sergio Peña commented on HIVE-17948:
------------------------------------

[~stakiar] I took a look at the test failures and found that:

{noformat}
TestHCatClient.testTransportFailure
{noformat}
HIVE-16312 fixes test failure. I cherry-picked and pushed to branch-2.3.

{noformat}TestCliDriver.testCliDriver[comments]{noformat}
This is a flaky test. It fails on Jenkins because an extra space on the
comments.q.out, but I cannot reproduce it locally to create a patch. This is
just flaky, we can ignore it.

{noformat}
TestTxnCommands2.testNonAcidToAcidConversion02
TestTxnCommands2WithSplitUpdate.testNonAcidToAcidConversion02
TestTxnCommands2WithSplitUpdateAndVectorization.testNonAcidToAcidConversion02
{noformat}
These tests fail since 2.3.1 because the following commit:
HIVE-17562: ACID 1.0 + ETL strategy should treat empty compacted files as
uncovered deltas (Prasanth Jayachandran reviewed by Eugene Koifman)

{noformat}TestSparkCliDriver.org.apache.hadoop.hive.cli.TestSparkCliDriver{noformat}
This test is weird. It fails on the createSources part of the
TestSparkCliDriver but only once and only in Jenkins. I run some .q spark tests
but I does not fail with me. This a new test failure due to the commits you
mentioned on this JIRA, but I'm not sure how to reproduce it locally.
