[~kgyrtkirk], I think metastore listener is like a data base trigger - it gets
activated no matter how the change is made. For example, if some used Thrift
API directly to create a table in the metastore, the listener would still get
activated. Moving this to Hive would work better for CTAS - that is why it's
in both places, but it would only work commands that go through
SemanticAnalyzer.
