Makoto Yui commented on HIVEMALL-233:
-------------------------------------

In -HIVEMALL-75-, only RandomForest classifier supported sparse input but not
for RandomForest regressor. Some code changes made to RandomForest regressor
was only for compatibility reasons. It was an excepted behavior.

So, it's welcome to support sparse input in RandomForest regressor. Let me
check your PR.

>
> While HIVEMALL-75 has enabled RandomForestClassifier to accept sparse vector
> as an input, some crucial code in the classifier is not properly implemented
> in its regressor counterpart; input feature vector is processed differently
> by regressor and classifier.
> This ticket follows up to HIVEMALL-75 so that the regressor behaves similarly
> to the classifier.
