### What needs to happen?
When creating a MySql database connection the database type is empty.
I think the dropdown is a bit confusing so I'm suggesting 2 improvements
- Expand the text in the dropdown to include the driver class
- make sure it does not break backwards compatibility
- set the default type to 8+
