I understand that, technically, all transformations in a pipeline begin in parallel. However, in general, there is a data entry point, represented by the input transformations. From there, the data is processed by the other transformations and finally loaded into some destination via the output transformations. Based on the idea you mentioned, I believe it would be interesting to provide some visual resource, such as a plugin, to draw diagram elements in the pipeline, perhaps similarly to what exists in IBM tools. In my opinion, it would be useful to allow the inclusion of symbols and also text in these elements.
