mattcasters opened a new pull request, #8122:
URL: https://github.com/apache/hop/pull/8122

Document the recommended upgrade-friendly layout for Hop Web in Docker,
addressing #8113.

The new technical documentation page explains:

   - which folders to persist (`HOP_CONFIG_FOLDER`, project homes,
`HOP_AUDIT_FOLDER`, extra JDBC)
   - which content should always come from the new `apache/hop-web` image
(Tomcat, Hop Web, plugins, bundled JDBC, starter `default`/`samples`)
   - how to configure that layout with environment variables such as
`HOP_CONFIG_FOLDER`
   - that project files must live on the host or a volume, not in the image
   - how 2.20 authentication, authorization, and user-to-project mapping
(`projects-access.json`) survive upgrades because they live under
`HOP_CONFIG_FOLDER/security/`
   - a small Compose example and a five-step upgrade procedure

The official image already ships the standard plugin set, so plugins are not
persisted on a volume.

Cross-links were added from Hop Web, installation/upgrade, projects, the
`apache/hop` Docker page, and the Hop Web developer guide.
