mattcasters opened a new pull request, #8677: URL: https://github.com/apache/hop/pull/8677
The project menu still listed recent projects in one flat list. A group could already be stored on the project registration, but only from the registration dialog behind More projects, and the menu never used that value. A long list of projects stayed long. Project properties now has a Group field on the Basic tab. It is the same registration value saved in hop-config.json, not a new field in project-config.json. Projects that share a group are listed in a submenu for that topic, including projects outside the recent window. Ungrouped projects stay in the recent list, still capped at 15. The active project is checked on its menu item and, when it belongs to a group, on that group as well. Ran `./mvnw -pl plugins/misc/projects spotless:apply test -Dtest=ProjectMenuGroupsTest -Dsurefire.failIfNoSpecifiedTests=false` (4 tests, all passed). The menu itself was not opened in Hop Gui. fixes #2703 ------------------------ Thank you for your contribution!
