The Arrow Flight producer initialized the data stream stored in metadata. In the same JVM that object can be the client that is writing the batch. `initialize()` replaces the allocator and row buffer and sets the writing flag, so the round-trip test sometimes sent a null id, and sometimes refused to read because the stream was still marked as writing. That is the `hop-tech-arrow` failure on PR 8717: all three Surefire attempts of `rowsRoundTripThroughAnAuthenticatedServer` failed. `HopFlightProducer` now clones the stream, initializes the copy, and closes it after the buffer is built. The data stream closes the Flight stream and client before the allocator. `ArrowFlightServer.close()` waits for shutdown and releases its allocator. The auth tests bind `127.0.0.1`, use separate writer and reader clones, and print a line when a rejected login is intentional so Arrow's `UNAUTHENTICATED` handshake stack is not logged for those cases. fixes #8768 ------------------------ Thank you for your contribution!
