Thanks for the report and the recording.

This looks like the same gesture as #8595, which was fixed on `main` by
#8616 (`c7fc11cf0d`, 25 September 2026). The icon in the bottom-right corner of
a transform after a run is the output-rows badge (the user manual calls it the
preview-data icon). Releasing a move on that badge used to open the rows
dialog, and the dialog's own event loop left the drag unfinished, so the
transform kept following the cursor.

On current `main` a drag that ends on that badge only ends the move. The
rows open for a click that never became a drag, and that path clears the drag
before the dialog opens. The same rules apply to the badge drawn on a hop.

The build in this report, `hop-client-2.20.0-20260929.072520-1`, is from 29
September, a few days after that merge, so it should already contain the fix.
Could you retry on a more recent 2.20.0-SNAPSHOT? If the transform still sticks
to the cursor after that, please say so and we will look again. This is
separate from #7768, which was an unfinished Shift-drag hop.
