### Apache Hop version? 2.18.1 ### Java version? 21 ### Operating system Other ### What happened? BaseTransform calls Thread.sleep(0, 1) in four places when the rowset between two transforms is nearly empty (≤ 1% of the rowset size) or nearly full (≥ 99%). The pause is meant to let rows build up so they move between threads in batches. On JDK ≤ 20, Thread.sleep(millis, nanos) rounds any non-zero nanos up to a whole millisecond, so this was effectively Thread.sleep(1). On JDK 21, sleep honours the nanoseconds (JDK-8305092), so the call returns almost immediately. this causes significant extra overhead decreasing performance between 20-30% if compared to 2.17.0 ### Issue Priority Priority: 1 ### Issue Component Component: API -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
