mattcasters opened a new pull request, #8910:
URL: https://github.com/apache/hop/pull/8910

The marketplace classpath check installs `hop-engines-spark` onto the plain
client and runs jdeps. The engine jar references `org.apache.hop.lakehouse`.
Those classes are in `hop-tech-lakehouse`, which the plain client does not
ship, so the check fails and a Spark-only install cannot resolve `LakeCatalog`
or the lake table metadata classes.

The Spark zip now packages `hop-tech-lakehouse.jar` under
`plugins/engines/spark/lib`. The plugin scanner skips `lib/`, so the lake table
transforms stay registered only by the lakehouse plugin. Transitive Iceberg
jars are not packaged.

   Verified locally with `tools/check-plugin-classpath.sh` against
`assemblies/client/target/hop-client-2.20.0-SNAPSHOT.zip` and the rebuilt Spark
zip. The client zip contains no lakehouse jar. The check reports `OK` for
`hop-engines-spark`. The published snapshot the GitHub job downloads does not
include this change yet.
