Two draft pull requests cover this. - #9203 keeps the JSON Input source field when the previous transform's fields cannot be loaded, and checks that OK still stores that name. - #9204 does the same for the other dialogs that cleared the combo before the lookup, including JSON Normalize Input. `ComboItems` writes the previous text back when the item list is replaced. #5953 stays open until those are merged.
