Thanks @hansva, LGTM. Built the PR and ran the new and changed tests (`GzipCompressionLevelTest`, `BlockingTransform*Test`, `SortRows*Test`): all pass, spotless/checkstyle clean. Checked by reading the code that transforms saved without `compression_level` keep running at level 6, and that only transforms newly created in Hop GUI get level 1.
