Because the shipped profile sets it explicitly, that fallback ne ver runs on a default install. The Store entrypoint builds `SPRING_APPLICATION_JSON` from only the `pdserver`, `grpc`, `raft`, `server`, and `app` keys, sourced from `HG_STORE_*` vars. It then exports it, overwriting anything a Docker user passed in, and none of those keys touch `rocksdb.*` [[4]](https://github.com/apache/hugegraph/blob/9126c80e414c073b60fc074361b211cfb409e0eb/hugegraph-store/hg-store-dist/docker/docker-entrypoint.sh#L58-L70). There is currently no env-var path to override the 32 GB default in Docker/Helm. On the workaround: `RocksdbConfig` is declared with `@ConfigurationProperties(prefix = "")` over a `Map<String, String> rocksdb` [[5]](https://github.com/apache/hugegraph/blob/9126c80e414c073b60fc074361b211cfb409e0eb/hugegraph-store/hg-store-node/src/main/java/org/apache/hugegraph/store/node/AppConfig.java#L307-L313). Spring Boot exposes JVM system properties as a `PropertySource` ahead of relaxed binding, so `-Drocksdb.total_memory_size=<bytes>` passed through `JAVA_OPTS` should land in that map the same way the YAML values do. To Spring, both are `rocksdb.<key>` entries. Nothing in `init()` rewrites a key that's already present [[6]](https://github.com/apache/hugegraph/blob/9126c80e414c073b60fc074361b211cfb409e0eb/hugegraph-store/hg-store-node/src/main/java/org/apache/hugegraph/store/node/AppConfig.java#L96-L119), so it will likely work. A real log showing the resulting cache sizes would confirm it. <!-- Dosu Comment Footer --> *To reply, just mention [@dosu](<https://go.dosu.dev/dosubot?utm_source=github&utm_medium=bot-comment&utm_campaign=github-comment-footer-20260415&utm_content=reply-with-mention&utm_term=apache%2Fhugegraph>).* --- Docs are dead.
