@SebastianGruza A PR is welcome. The intended direction is to support only the binary serializer, so users should no longer need to choose or configure a serializer. Please make binary the internal default and remove the `serializer` entry from the shipped configuration templates, rather than requiring users to add `serializer=binary`. This option should no longer be exposed as a user-facing choice.
