Rechecked at a13173dfa0613da99104dd1086a925ac1d0b43a7: the old-codec
numeric-string rewrite is now accepted. Two independent reviews verified the
exact parser and ran bounded JVM/Jackson cases covering zero, numeric strings,
overflow, malformed optional precision and parser alignment; legacy GB fallback
is preserved. The added frozen legacy-codec round trips and SpaceMetaManager
startup-reader regression directly cover the reported path, but I inspected
rather than independently executed the full Server suite. Current-head CI and
full upgrade validation remain separate. This is targeted repair verification,
not approval.
