   Hello Iceberg Team,
The official Docker Compose examples for Iceberg rely on:

   tabulario/spark-iceberg for Spark + Iceberg
   apache/hive for Hive Metastore

Both images contain numerous known vulnerabilities and are not updated
frequently. This creates security risks for teams using these examples as a
starting point for POCs or internal deployments.

Could the community provide or recommend:
   1. A maintained Spark + Iceberg image (or guidance for building one
securely)?
   OR
   2. A more secure alternative to apache/hive for the Hive Metastore (or best
practices for hardening)?

This would help organizations adopt Iceberg without introducing security
risks.
   Thank you!
