@steveloughran I see that in https://github.com/apache/spark/blob/branch-3.5/pom.xml, `hadoop.version` is 3.3.4, while in https://github.com/apache/spark/blob/branch-4.0/pom.xml, it is 3.4.1. (How did you determine that Spark 3.4.4 and 3.5.8 are built with Hadoop 3.3.5?)
