That issue looks unrelated? I also see we have tests to make sure this works https://github.com/apache/iceberg/blob/main/spark/v4.1/spark/src/test/java/org/apache/iceberg/spark/source/TestFilteredScan.java#L451-L478 So I'm not sure this is actually a bug as described?
