Review comment:
       ok, makes sense. That also clarifies the todo i left there. Fixed to not 
add a default namespace. Does the same logic apply for the case above. If I 
pass `items` it will get re-written to `default_catalog.default.items`, should 
it only be `default_catalog.items`?
