Hi @aditya-subrahmanyan, yes I'd like to give this another try! My previous attempt https://github.com/apache/iceberg-rust/pull/1496 lost momentum when I tried to get feedback from the broader community about proceeding with Otel vs. the spec's metrics API. For now I think we should prioritize the existing metrics API. There's been some changes to the code base, so parts of my design will need to be adapted.
