   Yes, happy to take this.
   
   I’ll keep the PR focused: make strict null handling conservative when null 
metrics are missing, while preserving the required-field fast path where it is 
safe. I’ll add the regression test Tanmay @tanmayrauth described for a nullable 
field with bounds present but no null count, where `id > 0` should not strictly 
match the whole file.
   
   For the NaN-count side: do you prefer I include the analogous floating-point 
handling in the same PR if it’s localized, or keep the first PR strictly to 
missing null counts and follow up separately?
