Review comment:
       What does "using settings from 'catalog'" mean in practice? Hadoop 
tables are loaded using a generic `HadoopTables`, so the catalog doesn't really 
affect it at all, I think. In that case, this is promising something that it 
doesn't need to and I'd prefer to avoid making claims about behavior like that.
