Hi @blackmwk , there is sill no tracking issue for next release, and if i'm not wrong, that's the first step for release, followed by picking, validating and voting release candidate etc. which in itself takes quite some time as @ryzhyk mentioned, these are important to pass security audits ( and for other reasons ).
