Agree — settling the transaction-level design in its own PR first is the right order. The two spec-evolution constraints and the summary-subtraction fix I raised above are already reflected in blackmwk's staged branches (source-spec manifest writer and per-file spec metrics in the filtering layer), so from my side there's nothing left to carry from the revival branch into this PR; I'll review the new PRs against the live REST-catalog + object-store setup as they open. @blackmwk — happy to help push the first layers upstream if bandwidth is the constraint. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
