Thanks for the clarification - I didn't know the delete granularity default was overridden at the Spark level. Would it make sense to disable the cache for position deletes entirely? I mean for every read, not just compaction. Like for DV. Alternatively, maybe cache usage should depend on the delete granularity? -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
