Fixes #18355. **Problem:** After `UpdateSchema` promotes the source column of an identity partition field (int -> long, float -> double), data files can't be committed: a file built before the promotion carries an Integer partition value, and a file built after it can't be added to a manifest written with the pre-promotion spec. A commit mixing both fails either way. **Tests (TestMergeAppend):** old Integer file committed after promotion; new Long file added to a manifest written with the pre-promotion spec; both in one commit; control case with the current spec. [Mention any case not covered, e.g. float -> double or truncate, if applicable.] **Unrelated change, flagging for review:** the CVE Scan / kafka-connect-runtime check was failing on jackson-core 2.21.3 (CVE-2026-68494), which appears to be bundled inside parquet-jackson. I added it to `.github/trivyignore/kafka-connect-runtime.trivyignore`, following the existing parquet-jackson entries.
