### Feature Request / Improvement Future scope for #1178, so it isn't lost. Not so worth prioritizing until a well-known Go catalog server would adopt it. iceberg-go is deliberately client-only for REST scan planning. Making it able to *serve* remote planning, so someone could add it to their own Go catalog, would need: - an exported planning entry point (plan a scan against table metadata and return tasks); - a domain→REST encoder, the inverse of `DecodeScanTasks`; - a small HTTP handler for the four endpoints, plus an example. Prior art in the repo: the parity test's in-process server already plans locally and encodes REST responses (`catalog/rest/scan_planning_parity_test.go`). -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
