Review Comment:
**Nit:** the `hdfs.host` and `hdfs.port` parsing, the
`hdfs_native_nameservice` chain (L366) and the `??` at L538 are hard to follow
as `Option` and `Result` combinator chains. A small helper or a `for` loop with
`?` would read better.

Review Comment:
**Should fix:** a NameNode is a `String` that can be an endpoint, a
nameservice or a list, and this function re-parses the string from
`hdfs_native_parse_path` to tell which. A `NameNode` newtype and an `Authority`
enum would make the states explicit and let the `hdfs_native_`-prefixed free
functions become methods.

Review Comment:
   **Nit:** `key[nameservice_prefix.len()..]` relies on a `starts_with` check
in a separate statement, so `strip_prefix` would be safe by construction. The
same applies to the slicing in `hdfs_native_redact` and
`hdfs_native_parse_path`, where I do not see a panic today.

Review Comment:
**Question:** adding a variant to these public enums breaks downstream
exhaustive `match`es when the feature is unified on. Earlier backends did the
same, so I would not block on it, but a separate PR adding `#[non_exhaustive]`
may be worth it.
