Hi @kevinjqliu, I'd be interested in working on this issue. I understand the problem is that environment-based REST catalog authentication configuration isn't normalized into the structure expected by the authentication managers. I noticed your recommendation about supporting flattened auth properties, with optional JSON-string parsing. I'd start with regression tests and implement the agreed normalization behavior.
