If field IDs are manually assigned by a user, they could use a field ID that was already used in a previously deleted column. Example: I add a date column with `field-id: 2`, drop that column, add a new variant column with `field-id: 2`. This is actually stricter than the spec requires, but I think it's correct behavior for now. You could recreate your old column (provided the underlying types match well enough), but I don't think that's what users would expect. You can't see the old fields in your current Terraform config (unless you start digging through state, which nobody does). -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
