## What - Skip data-file stats when no equality delete can apply by sequence number. ## Why - Stats are unnecessary when every matching delete is from the same or an older sequence. ## Implementation - Check the last sequence in the sorted global and matching-partition lists. - Keep the stats path when any delete can still apply. ## Benchmark - Go 1.26.3, Apple M1 Pro, 1,024 data files, median of 5 paired base/head runs. - No applicable delete: 115.5 to 97.7 µs per operation (15% faster). - Same-sequence delete: 115.8 to 98.5 µs per operation (15% faster). - Applicable-delete control: 454.5 to 447.7 µs per operation. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
