### What Stop updating the indexed FIFO tree when an update keeps the same minimum. ### Why This avoids walking the tree for a value that does not change the index result. ### Implementation - Return early when the minimum is unchanged. - Keep the existing update path when the minimum changes. ### Benchmark - Go 1.26.3, Apple M1 Pro, median of 5 runs. - `BenchmarkPackingWeightIndexUpdate`, 2,048 bins: 24.74 → 1.671 ns/op (about 14.8x); 0 allocations in both versions. - This measures the index update, not a full writer workload. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
