Good question! I make it fail by default because we don't have a default executor implementation in the core `iceberg` library. I don't want to make `iceberg-rest` to depend on `iceberg-bundle` to use the executor provided by Arrow. As a lot of places already requires users to provide an executor instance to support parallel computing (e.g. manifest reading in scan planning and parallel deletes), I assume this is not a big issue? -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
