I do remember that a similar issue was attempted in https://github.com/apache/iceberg/pull/4680. I think one of the main risks is that we don't control the classpath and so merging service files together could cause issues that weren't previously there. Iceberg itself doesn't use the `ServiceLoader` mechanism and we also can't control who else might end up using `ServiceLoader` in the final classpath, which would result in different runtime behaviors than we anticipated -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
