Thanks for the detailed report, @cmp0xff — I hit the same thing with a Poetry-managed project declaring an open-ended `requires-python`. The `<4.0.0` cap buys no protection against anything real (per the consensus in #1348), so I will open a PR dropping it from `pyproject.toml` (and the matching `uv.lock` header, which `uv lock --check` confirms stays consistent). -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
