## What Scan path member bytes before rune decoding when escaping is not needed. ## Why Most path members do not need escaping, so rune decoding adds unnecessary work. ## Implementation - Add an ASCII byte fast path. - Keep rune-aware escaping for quotes, backslashes, and control characters. ## Benchmark Apple M1 Pro, Go 1.26.3, darwin/arm64, GOMAXPROCS=1; median of 10 runs, 500 ms each, compared with benchstat. | Workload | Before | After | Change | | --- | ---: | ---: | ---: | | Single field | 47.21 ns/op | 41.62 ns/op | 11.8% faster | | 64 fields | 2.281 µs/op | 1.752 µs/op | 23.2% faster | | Control-heavy | 1.043 µs/op | 1.054 µs/op | No significant change | Allocations are unchanged.
